We made it here without a hitch. I was a little amazed. 14 hours in coach was not as bad as I envisioned, even though I barely slept. Caroline did well, and probably got three or four hours. We landed in Johannesburg and took a connecting flight to Cape Town. Out total travel time was 24 hours. Caroline has been incredibly excited to be here, and started jump roping as soon as she got here! We hit the pool and had a swim and lunch.
Cameron and his girl friend Cat (short for Catharine) just made it here. It took them 36 hours because their bus blew a water gasket - the hazards of traveling in South Africa! They both looked fantastic though for being up 36 hours.
We are about to go to a tapas resturant called Chef's Warehouse (chefswarehouse.co.za/) - a place that claims to cater to both foodies and amateur and
professional chefs. We will see!
Tomorrow is Table Mountain and on to the wineries - yum! More to follow!
